"We were at this place on a sunday evening. The terrace with viewsof the lake was were beautiful. But waiters were not friendly nor attentive. We didn't feel welcome. Until 18:30 there is strictly no eating. The waitress explained the kitchen wouldn't open exactly at 18:30 Not even a cheese or salami was available. So we paid and left. I don't bother coming to this place again. Why is it soo hard to host a guest, and be friendly?"

We visited this wonderful place as part of a family Birthday invitation early this September. Nestled in a beautiful surrounding in front of lovely Schwarsee lake, this gourmet restaurant is a gem indeed. Excellent food, superb service, their local and international culinary specialties offer a wide choice of First Class Cuisine. Catering to individuals, couples, families and groups, these folk are professionals at attending to diverse and specific catering needs. Such a special destination in Schwarzsee! The restaurant is beautiful to match the stunning landscape and lake. The food and service were perfect! It is clear the attention to detail which has gone into every aspect of the restaurant. We could not find a fault! Even as a vegetarian, there were plenty of options on the menu. The presentation of the dishes and flavours were excellent. The 'Gilde Menu ' was the perfect way to experience a variety of regional specialties. WOW…a stunning meal in a beautiful restaurant, with a fabulous terrace and impressive wine cellar, overlooking Schwarzsee Lake. Need I say more? …. I will, because this restaurant is a hidden gem and thoroughly deserves it. We had the ‘Gilde Menu’ which was amazing. Right from the start it was clearly evident that a lot of thought and care had been taken into creating this menu. We ended up here by default back in September of 2017. I'm glad we did we had three evenings of scrumptious dinners as well as beautiful breakfasts. I couldn't believe the cheese plate in the morning, this is what makes Switzerland Swiss! We had a little snag at the coffee machine, but some of this may of been because of not knowing how to work it.After the third morning, we were catching on! I would love to come back for an extended stay!
