a whole lemon was cut into slices, baked, deep fried and mixed in our calamari. we said the chef did it. my family has ordered calamari in almost any restaurant that we have visited for 15 years and not even we had ever mixed a deep fried lemon into the court. it ruined the rest of the meal for my man when he thought it was a piece calamari, but it was a lemon, loop and everything and he could not get the taste out of his mouth. it seems as if they were trying to make it look like there were more calamari then there was actually by mixing in a whole cut lemon. the oysters were terrible. no soles. no lemon lol, and they were still attached to the dish, so we had to pick everyone up before we...
My father and I had eat here for Sunday brunch. I had a mushroom omelet that was quite delicious, but the potatoes were cold and dried out and appeared to have been made hours earlier. Also ordered caramelized grapefruit, which was cold and not actually browned under a broiler with sugar as the description would imply. My father had a waffle and poached eggs. Hard to mess those up. My father who is diabetic did not like having powdered sugar automatically on the waffle. However, that is our fault for not asking or specifying.
We live in North Jersey and drive down to Cape May a few times during the summer. Sometimes we even stay for the week. We always come to Sea Salt for a great night out and a fabulous dinner. The staff is always wonderful and friendly and the menu never ever disappoints! Always worth the little over 2hr drive for us to spend the day and have a great dinner with family and friends.
