The food here is lovely however it looked like it was run by the three stooges who ran everywhere and also grilled the steaks and fish on the outside grill. This resulted in very slow service and a feeling that you were always interrupting them...when you needed something. Set next to the yacht club on the lake you'd think you would have a great view of the See however its not the case. Having said that the old building and outside terrace are very nice. There's also a large grass area for the kids to play on while they're waiting for their food (which can be a long time). On arrival we waited over 20 mins just to make our order. The food took around the same time and a further 15mins to pay the bill. This is Mediterranean restaurant (although strangely Thai and Chinese dishes are served) so if you want a change from the standard german diet then this could be a good choice if you're not in a rush. I had a Thai chicken curry, my wife had veg stir fry (basically, although it had a fancy description) and the kids had snitzel. Portion sizes were good and thermals very tasty. It's for this and the location that I rate it highly.
Though a prime view on the Tegernsee, the food was mediocre at best.. and three things we tried to order were not available. The Mushroom soup was inedible and had no sign of mushroom, despite it being 'in season ' Perhaps a drink on a sunny...day.. but not more.. OH and the neighbour table that thought it 'cool ' to play music on their phones VERY loud was absolutely obnoxious.
