Shakthi serves very well prepared Southern Indian dishes. Located in a strip mall with many other Asian restaurants, it doesn’t really stand out, but the sign is noticeable from the street. The parking lot is pretty easy to get a close space. The restaurant is very clean with bright orange and yellow walls, red tablecloths, dark wooden chairs, and a long buffet table. On a Tuesday evening, it was fairly empty which was nice to have a near private dining experience with light Indian music in the background. I visited Shakthi yesterday (12/30), and the owner is well-known within the local Indian community in and around Parsippany. Shakthi is conveniently located in the same complex as Suhkadia's, making it easy for everyone to find. I ordered Uthappam and Kuzhi Paniyaram, and my food arrived in a reasonable amount of time. The flavors were excellent and exactly as they should be. The space can feel a bit cramped during peak hours, but the colorful interior is tidy and inviting. The restroom was very clean as well. Sakthi Restaurant offers a delightful dining experience. When it first opened, we were hopeful for a great meal that Sunday, but unfortunately, it didn't quite meet our expectations, leaving us disappointed. However, we decided to give it another try a few months later, visiting on the first Sunday of April, and this time, it surpassed all of our expectations. The variety of dishes was impressive, particularly the fish curry, which was outstanding. I've never encountered a buffet in this price range with such a wide selection and everything was delicious. The prices are very reasonable. If you're a fan of South Indian cuisine, this place is a must-visit.
Excellent tasting Indian food I can truly say this place has my favourite Indian foods and is number one on the charts, it’s an absolute must try. Not only that but the food is so fresh and the guest service is wonderful!! My whole family comes here now we love it!!

Absolutely amazing food! Authentic South Indian food. I'm from Tamil Nadu, so I have a very sharp appreciation for good South Indian food. Owner is very nice and attentive. Can't recommend enough! Feels like my mother's kitchen:
Outstanding authentic Indian food. Appam with Fish curry is a must try along with Malabar Parotta. The staff is extremely welcoming. Overall one of the best Indian restaurants in NJ
This restaurant opened its doors in December 2017, and it has a lovely ambiance. The staff member I encountered was very polite.
Management, service and food can is better. Always offer free drinks!
