A typical morning at Jenome. Anyone who knows me knows I'm a notorious morning muffle, and about half an hour is needed to get in swing. So I sit with my wife in the kitchen at the table in the morning, and normally it is relatively quiet, it will be discussed at most something great of the day. So while I'm sitting at the table with the daily newspaper and ä Schälchn Heeßn or ä Dippl Muckefugg (Note: sächsisch für nen Pott Kaffee), my wife grabbed her mobile computer from the ZuHauseOffice and made me company. Of course, she always went to the daily newspaper to catch one or the other headline. At once it gelled (Note: Saxon for Circle) like a teen through the kitchen: “Oar gugge ma, dr Sasha is in the cult!” My extensive answer: “Mmmh”. Again the teen ringing voice: “Oar ma gann even win cards!” My answer: “Mmmh”. I realized that morning rest was over. My wife, now with a nicely decoy voice: “Duhu, Schatzi......” I, slowly muntering: “Mmmmh”. My wife: “Duhu Schatzi, please write an email, maybe we win!” That's it. Newspaper shut down, the Schmartfone handed down, and sent an electronic letter to the local daily, asking you to win tickets for this Sasha. No 2 hours later, my Schmartfone and the local newspaper told me that I had won 2 tickets for the concert of Sasha at the Kulturpalast Dresden. The joy about it was, of course, huge at home, and the almost equal singer Sasha has accompanied us since our youth. But it has especially done to us its cult figure “Dick Brave” with its rock ‘n Roll and Boggiemelodien. Since we came to the concert for free, I wanted to surprise my wife with a nice dinner. My only condition, it should be walking to the cultural palace. Since we had already visited all Gastros in this area, my choice fell to the Irish restaurant “Shamrock”, which is not a hundred meters from the Kulturpalast. The table reservation was made electronically via their website without any problems, and so we were in good time before the concert at Shamrock in the evening. The mobile subset can be parked in a nationwide car park provider for expensive money in the underground car park under the old market, or you can use the ÖPNV, whose stop is virtually in front of the door. Shamrock Dresden Arriving in Shamrock, we were greeted by a young gentleman in the typical Irish robe, and brought to our table on a small empor. From here we had a wonderful view over the entire guest room. Here in the back area it was quite dark with a greenish ambience light. Our sitting area To drink beer is ok, I would like to eat some more brightness. For this you sit very comfortably on the large, cozy liver sofas. However, this is also seen as a somewhat longer use, because some of the seating area was somewhat obsessed. I lack a seat back on the wooden chairs, because it can become too hard for a whole evening. The restaurant itself is full of pictures and signs from Ireland, you feel like a Scottish or Irish pub. On Fridays the tables are tightened, because there is always a band with Irish music. The menu was brought to us by the friendly “Iren” and also the question of drinks was immediately addressed. Menu So we ordered: · 1x 0.5ér Cola for 4,70 € · 1x 0.5ér Guinness beer for 6,20 € Extract from the menu While he was floating from Dannen, we had time to browse the map. In addition to typical Irish food, there are also carvings, burgers, ragsteak and two curry dishes. We stayed at the typical Irish, and decided as starter for: · 2x Irish Stew small – Irish Lammypot with vegetables and potatoes, plus bread for 8.80 € As main dish it should be: · 1x Cottage Pie – Irish run up with minced meat, carrots, peas and corn, baked with ram potatoes for 13.00 € · 1x Walisischer Bierbrauer-Gifula And I have to say honestly, who drinks Guinness, eats small children. I can't get used to this typical Irish beer. This creamy foam on the beer isn't my thing. A real beer flower looks different, but it also falls faster. Nevertheless, once I'm with the Irish, it must also be the Guinness. Guinness-lecker is different After a short quarter of an hour our “Starter” came. The Irish stew was served in a large terrine. Oha, if that's small, what's a real portion? In any case, the Irish Stew was dressed in a very spicy and hot broth, which received a further wort with a small chopped parsley. There were many small and large pieces of meat from lamb. The meat was butter soft and also well seasoned, the typical lamb taste remained. A few bite-resistant potato pieces and (for me) too many carrots added the whole thing. The bread was also fresh and pleasantly soft. Not bad, especially when I love soups and stews. Irish Stew small – Irish pan with vegetables and potatoes, plus bread A quarter of an hour later, we were just finished with our Irish stew, also our main dishes came. My wife chose Cottage Pie, the Irish run. In a larger bowl this was done, and in the beginning we thought upps is little. But that should be very foolish, because after this very lush portion my wife was more than tired. In this case, the potato stump did not stop, which was baked on the minced meat in a thin layer under the spicy cheese. No, it was so much and saturating. In contrast to the Irish stew, there were more minced meat and less carrots, peas and maize. The taste very spicy, you can't really describe it properly, at least something completely different from the German cuisine. Delicious. Cottage Pie – Irish skating with minced meat, carrots, peas and corn, baked with stamping potatoes I had opted for the Walisian brewer's goulash. I wasn't disappointed. On a large plate one half was covered with the dark goulash, the other half claimed the potato tamph for itself. The Gulasch was half of lamb and beef, as well as a few carrot slices. The pieces of meat were neatly large so that they had to be even partially divided. The dark sauce was very thick, and here the Guinness beer was excellent as a spice. In the course of time, the apron came out right, so that the goulash even seemed a bit sharp. This relieved the solid potato stump, which, after my initial skepsis, was excellent. Walisischer Bierbrauer-Gulasch with beef and lamb in a Guinness sauce, with puff potatoes After not even an hour, we were finished and paid. So we could still take a drink in the Kulturpalast at the bar before we could take place as VIP guests in the best places in the culti. The then following 3-hour concert, or the life story of Sasha, was of course the I-Tüpfelchen on this evening. And Dick Brave sneaked out of the car radio on his way home. As the Sachse says, Scheee warsch. Our conclusion: we left €61.50 to two in the Shamrock in Dresden. The restaurant is rustic and cozy, the team friendly and always has the guests in sight. Our friends were not just jealous of the concert. We had to promise to return to Shamrock soon. Of course, Friday night, with the music that fits here.
