Das Shiori ist ein wirklich nettes kleines Restaurant in der Nähe vom Rosa-Luxemburg-Platz. Das Konzept des Shiori hebt sich von anderen Restaurants dadurch ab, dass man an einer Art "Theke" sitz, von wo aus man zusehen kann, wie die leckeren Speisen zubereitet werden. Sobald ein Gang fertig ist, wird er über die Theke herübergereicht. Wir hatten das Glück, dass wir statt des eigentlich 8 Gänge umfassenden Menüs gleich 10 Gänge serviert bekommen haben. Das Menü war sehr abwechslungsreich - Fisch sollte man allerdings schon sehr gerne mögen - und ein kleiner kulinarischer Streifzug durch Japan. Viele der Gerichte und Zutaten kennt man so in unserer Küche nicht; man muss also schon auch etwas...
Very overpriced food. Out of 10 courses only 1 was exceptional (beef with onsen egg). 2 were good (sashimi courses). The rest ranged from terrible to merely average - bland, unflavoured, lacking the all important umami. At this price point (60 euros for one person for food alone), this is unacceptable. If they had the 3 good courses as separate menu choices, I would be more than happy to come back here again. Service was polite and helpful.Room ambience is not great. Overall there's better japanese food to be found in Berlin, but like I said - if they decided to break away from the 10-course set menu option, it would be worth going to again. Unfortunately I won't be back.
My family and me 6 people, most of them don't live in Berlin were looking forward to this dinner. But the restauraunt cancelled the reservation ONLY 4H ! before the dinner should take place. They didn't even appologize properly but blamed a booking provider, althought I reserved directly at the restaurant. As a guest you have to pay the whole price if you don't cancel 48h before which I totally understand , but the other way round they dont care at all. You shouldn't treat your guests like that. Shame on you!
The inn is easy to reach! The favorable transport connection makes it possible to get there quickly. Cheap, varied selection of food and drinks. I was really happy with my girlfriend, so I discovered a restaurant in our surroundings, which we can afford without restriction even until the end of the month. The services are constantly highly caressed and consistently polite! I find the prices full of fair. Réservez une table maintenant
What a wonderful dinner with a wonderful host. Might require some prior experience with Japanese cuisine, otherwise, it might somewhat overwhelming. Sake selection was short, but well selected and recommended. There's only one, maybe two choices of white wine, but mine was good and corresponded to the meal. Host and chef are extremely accommodating and prepared a special course for my daughter.
Eintauchen in die japanische Küche. Die Gäste sitzen am Tresen. Direkte, aber auch diskrete Atmosphäre. Die Zubereitung oder besser das Finishing der abwechslungsreichen (10 Gänge, monatlich wechselnd) Speisen kann live mitverfolgt werden. Zügiger Ablauf des Menüs, da die Zutaten vorbereitet waren. Empfehlung: Den Sake dazu probieren!
I had such a great time here when my friend celebrated her birthday. Friendly staff, lovely dishes and great flavors. The portions were a bit small for my taste, but I guess that makes it more refined. I tried the Bresse chicken in dashi and sancho pepper and would come back for it again. Would recommend!
