Shogun has gone downhill!!! Never have I had such a bad experience at a tepanyaki restaurant. First, I have to mention our waitress, Ashley, phenomenal and has nothing to do with this bad rating. We went here for my daughter's birthday party. The grill chef, Christopher, was incredibly underwhelming. He did only one trick which was the onion volcano which was again underwhelming! That was it! No interaction with the table or banging utensils on the grill top. When we complained to the manager (Stephanie), she told us that was normal and all the other chefs do too much! Excellent place to eat and fun for the whole family. Took my good friend for his B-day, (turned 45) along with the family (Wife, 8 year old Daughter 19 yr old teenage son) and we had a blast, even got to meet and chat with another family who sat withus. The facility is immaculately clean, well spaced out with an overall prestigious upscale aviance. The sous chef areentertaining and humorous bring laughter to the table as they prepare your meal right in front of you. The food portions aregenerous and everything ordered was fresh delicious. I visited Shogun for my wife’s birthday and was very impressed with the outstanding service! However, a word of caution: if you order a medium rare steak, make sure to double-check it before leaving. My family and I ordered medium rare steaks and they seemed fine at the restaurant, but when we got home and opened our takeout containers, the steaks were actually cooked rarer than we expected.
We go to a lot of restaurants like this and I have to say tonight was hands down the best experience we?ve had in California in quite some time. Service was good, but our chef Zhou was even better. He was fantastic made the experience that much better.Such an amazing guy and reads the room great he was the reason we enjoyed our visit!

This was most delightful experience ever! My Sushi was made with perfection by Kris and then Cory topped it off by the best Lemon Drip Martini ever. My overall experience as first time customer was over the top with the best customer service &hospitality ever!
Food was excellent Very clean restaurant Our waitress and cook were really friendly My only negative was the greeters at front door We're to welcoming kinda like they couldn't wait to go home But other then that very good
At Shogun, everything prepared by the chef right before us was incredibly fresh. The excellent service is yet another reason to visit. With a great ambience and a diverse menu, the food quality stands out. Food: 5/5.
Went here for dinner with my wife for my birthday it was good and better than Benihanas more to choose from and a good show. Plus our table had great people to conversate with ????????????????????????????????
