Shoulder Of Mutton

I have to say we never actually got to eat or drink as not obvious what to do. Employee told us she would be with us in a minute! minutes later greater with a We don't serve at counter it's table service only and...did you pick them menus of the bar they are not cleaned! Guess what we left, menu very basic and with miserable staff that you won't be open much longer. Your loss was our gain has had a lovely lunch in Ashbourne at the Friends Cafe!

Lovely lunch stop mid walk. Very well organised for Covid regulations, lots of hand sanitiser stations and sensible toilet precautions! Menu was varied and good vegetarian choices. Food was home made, nicely presented and tasted good too! The staff seemed friendly but difficult when everyone...wearing face coverings, can't tell if someone is smiling or not!!! We do plan a return visit soon with the grandchildren.

Visited following a walk nearby. A lovely warm day and the beer garden looked very inviting. We made it just in time for lunch. The staff were welcoming and friendly. We both enjoyed our chosen meals. I had the vegetable lasagne my partner had chilli...con carne and our clean plates were testament to how good our food was. Would definitely recommend and wouldn’t hesitate to return if visiting the area again

We went to this pub for lunch during our rally they served us an excellent meal of soup, sandwiches and a dessert for those who wanted more. They catered for special diets and provided a good and tasty soup with a wide selection of sandwiches....The staff were cheerful and friendly and they served us quickly and efficiently. Worth every penny paid. Réservez une table maintenant

A good pub! I had the Gammon and partner had the steak sandwich. Both meals were lovely (Good pub food) and the desert was huge!! Plenty of beer choices and fast service. This pub had an excellent beer garden and sits in a stunning village!...Will be back again.

Covid restrictions in place the seating outside was very efficiently run, the food was perfect and we will return when fully open. The staff are friendly and on point with drink and food orders. We'll done we will see you soon.

If there was a prize for the UK’s most grumpiest landlord, this guy would win it hands down. For a lovely country pub to be so anti dog walkers is a real shame.

Stopped on way North and had a really good Steak and Kidney old fashioned pie. Decent prices and good range of choices Superb food. Réservez une table maintenant

Great pub, great beer garden set in the lively village of Osmaston. Good honest home cooked food. Can recommend the lasagne.
