I wouldn't eat here EVER AGAIN!!!...The only thing good was the fish an that was SALTY..We drove to PA thinkng we were getting some good soul food NOT!! They have a sign on the door that's says KNOCK ON THE DOOR for the nice lady to say you have to order on line..ok no worries...We ordered the salmon/tuna salad ? TASTED LIKE IT WAS FULL OF MUSTARD AND SALT.Next, I got turkey wings they were cold like they were warmed in the microwave..no taste, gravy no taste, rice underneath no taste, gave them to my auntie cause I didn't want to trash it, she said she couldn't eat it..The yams were soupy THE MAC AND CHEESE FROZE AND REWARMED OK BUT TASTED LIKE MUSTARD POWDER.. it was very POWDERY/MUSTARDY,...
I ordered the fried fish platter with mac and cheese and yams. When I arrived at the restaurant, the lights were off, and someone opened the door just to hand me my order. I was confused because there were no cooking smells or signs of anyone in the kitchen. When I got home, the fish was mushy and bland, the yams tasted like they came from a can, and the mac and cheese certainly didn't have the soul food flavor I expected. To top it off, everything was cold, as if it had been taken straight from the fridge and microwaved but still hadn't warmed up. It was a total waste of money!
I ordered fried waiting few weeks ago and it was so salty I couldn’t eat but the vegetables were good so I did call them and tell them that they was very salty and I eat salt but it was just bad today I ordered catfish and it was same thing it was so salty I just had to have the sides and leave the catfish behind. I think they need to cut down on salt
Hands down the best soul food! Great catering! Amazing chicken wings, Mac and cheese, and just great all the way around. We ordered 200 wings and two large pans of Mach and cheese for our baby shower of 100 people and ever single person said nothing but great things!! Will be using again for my mother in laws birthday!

I had the fish platter. The fish was good but it was a little dry. The cheese was non-existent in the mac and cheese and the potato salad was lousy, they didn't even send the 2 pieces of cornbread that is I paid for. I spent 52 dollars on that food. Waisted my money. Oh the lemon aid was the best thing in the order.
I hired Shugar Shack Catering again, and once again, the food was EXCELLENT! The service was friendly and prompt. I forgot to take pictures, but as soon as we uncovered the trays, my guests couldn't get enough. The fried fish and cabbage are absolutely THE BEST!
I got the baked chicken sweet potatos greens and mac and cheese , everything came hot and fresh something about the sweet potatos i did not like but i still ate them but other then that everything was well cooked seasoned and delicious ?
Looking for good quality soul food? I would highly recommend Sugar Shack! This was my second time going,The platters had so much food on it the food is too delicious... Definitely worth the money.

I believe I've discovered my new favorite place for dinner on Friday nights until I head back home to Wyoming. The cheesecake was absolutely amazing as well!
Food is always good and has never disappointed me. I usually get the Mac n cheese and yams as sides and turkey chops. Love that it's black owned.
