This place was a garbage fire. If I came in, you could fill out the hostility of the staff. Not to customers, but to other employees. They were not excessively busy, but the employees were very tense and sniffy to each other. Anyway, I ordered a breakfast sandwich, bacon egg and cheese to go along with a cinnamon roll. When they finished my job and gave me, I checked him, and they gave me a piece of cake and a Pimento Bacon sandwich... I told them their fault, and they brought him back to destroy it. In the city for a weekend getaway and we looked at the reviews of this restaurant, so we thought we would try. I had the sram plate that was special, and my wife ordered the Omelet. The agitator was good, but something too salty. The Omelet was not good. It was made with canned mushrooms and lunch meat for ham. The juice from the mushrooms ran over the plate and made the bottom of the cookie all soggy that you can see it in the image I attached. It was so salty my wife could only eat the egg of it that was a little over boiled. Searched for local breakfast places and stumbled across SideKicks. It seems a bit diminutive and unassuming from the outside, with a covered porch that is likely nice to brunch on during the warmer months. We came in, immediately greeted with a friendly smile. Got a paper menu and took a nearby seat, to get the descriptions behind the many menu items. I ordered the omelet and my companion got the smoked ham and egg sandwich. My wife?s best friend flew in to visit so I was looking for a breakfast spot that would have diner food with high quality and wasn?t a chain restaurant. Sidekick Cafe hit the mark perfectly. I had the country ham with my breakfast plate and it was exactly what I was hoping it would be. The hash brown casserole was good, not the best I?ve had but good. The biscuits were light, and the gravy had chunks of sausage in it. They have several coffee options which was nice. The women working were very nice and even brought out some Cinnamon Rolls for us because, ?sometimes we like to spoil people?. The cinnamon roll was the best I?ve had in a long time. Find amazing! While we drove through Nashville, we found this GEM. Super friendly environment and great staff. The loaded cookie was amazing! Back home made cookies was perfect and the eggs were so fluffy it was a perfect combination. The fiancée got the ham sandwich with Gouda and pineapple and loved it! The latte was made with honey and vanilla and it tasted great. 1000% recommend stopping from this gem!
First time customer review went on a week day for lunch got the avocado toast it wasn't the best seems as they just took the avocado mashed it on the bread with spinach, tomatoes and seeds no seasonings were added. They have parking available, indoor and outdoor seating. Didn't see alot of vegan/vegetarian options. Not sure if I will return do to very few options to choose from.
I found this place today called Sidekicks Cafe. It was so damn good! Best Pimento Cheese Bacon Burger! Big desserts I came home with 5 of them. They haven't tried yet, but they look great! The staff was so welcoming, sweet, friendly and attentive. From the boss Karen! Love as we have the same name! I will return to try the whole menu as there are so many I want to eat.
