"I wish I could give a half star. Ordered Sichuan fish, tasteless. Salt and pepper squid was ok. Singapore Bee Hoon mediocre. The food here tastes far from Singaporean - more like a Chinese buy without any awareness of what Singaporean food tastes like. We like flavour. This is not a Singaporean hawker place. Will never return."

However, in the midst of all these, comes hidden gems of traditional Chinese food. We came to this place as Taurus is now horribly bad and bamboo was packed. When we got there on a Saturday, the place was deserted. All up in the hour we were there about 8 other people went in to order. Undetered we went about the menu. We have not come back to this restaurant since we last ate here several years ago. So, after a round of golf on Wed, we decided to give it another try. We had Mai Fan, Hokkien mee, Lo Bak & combination crispy roast pork & BBQ pork between 3 of us. Overall, the food just taste ordinary. Other places taste better. The worst dish was the combination BBQ pork & crispy roast pork. They were very dry & hard. Both looked like they stayed in the kitchen over the Xmas holidays & then were used when the restaurant reopen for business. I cannot even poke through the BBQ meat with my fork and am more disgusted that the chef even served it out to customers. This restaurant definitely...
Le Hawker était une expérience globale agréable à manger à l'intérieur, mais les raisons que cela a une note de 3,5 est parce que le poulet de miel était trop sucré, les sièges que ma famille était assis à une manière trop proche d'une autre famille et que nous ne pouvions pas sortir de Nos chaises sans frapper l'autre table et nous pouvions entendre clairement les conversations. Sinon, il aurait eu une critique presque parfaite.
The hawker was an overall pleasing experience to eat at, but the reasons this got a 3.5 rating is because the honey chicken was too sweet, the seating that my family sat at was way too close to another family's and we couldn't get out of our chairs without hitting the other table and we could hear each others conversations clearly. Otherwise, it would have gotten a nearly perfect review.
First thing I notice is that the decor is very below average, but it is only a hawker so you really shouldn't expect much in terms of setting. The fried rice in my opinion is one of the best that i've had and the squid was the perfect texture. I loved the food and the only reason it is not getting a 5 from me is because of the unpleasant scene. Réservez une table maintenant
