I had high hopes for this place. I'm so sadly disappointed. First off I added up everything I got according to the prices on their website and my order should have been $55.21 before tax. Somehow my husband paid $70 when he went to pick it up. Second, the food was not made correctly. Different entrees were spicy when they shouldn't have been. It was so spicy that I couldn't enjoy it. My shrimp Do Piazo was very spicy and I couldn't eat it. The fish pakoras were dry and again,
No doubt the food was good and the staff was friendly. However, there are few things that made me unsatisfied. 1. Food was good but it wasn't warm and there was no steam coming out of the food. For best taste, curry dishes should be warm enough. I say, piping hot! 2. We got chicken Tikka Masala and lamb Rogen Josh. There was not much difference whatsoever in their gravy. Absolutely, the best restaurant in West Virginia!! I've been to many Indian restaurants from Florida to NY, and Sitar beats them all!! The owner/staff are all super friendly, thus the reason I'm a 20+ year patron of Sitar. Oh, and if I may suggest a dish, order Chicken Kashmiri and Onion Naan. Mmmmmmmmmmmm!!!
Great food. This seemed like the best choice for indian food in the area so I tried it out and discovered it really is one of the best places I've eaten at. Try the Chicken Tikka Masala, Saag Paneer and veggie Pakoras. Those are excellent dishes here! Réservez une table maintenant
Chicken Curry and Vegetable table Pakoras (5) were delicious. I called 3 times before placing my order to ask questions about dairy-free options. The person answering the phone was so kind, helpful, and friendly every single time I called.
After finding this restaurant and the corresponding review we decided to try the Sitar of India. The veg only options were excellent with a wonderful variety of intense flavors. Would definitely drive to Charleston just to eat here.
There were many vegan options on the lunch buffet. Staff was very helpful in explaining ingredients and possible allergens in the food. The buffet was clean and very busy, and food was readily replenished.
