I was just in Sizzle Bento in Garema Place and had the most awful dining experience and it had absolutely nothing whatsoever to do with the food! When I went to pay for what I had eaten the manager their started abusing me and yelling...at me in front of the other customers and saying I had shortchanged her a few months ago when I was in there cause I was very drunk! I was so upset and embarrassed and absolutely mystified by this because not only was I living and working in Sydney at that time (and no where near Canberra) but she said I was in their with a child and I don’t even have a child! Not to mention the fact that I don’t even drink and have never short changed anyone in my life. Need...
Several workers were enjoying their lunch, and the food they were eating looked delicious. Sohn, who is Japanese and can eat anything, ordered tempura vegetables, while I ordered a ramen noodle soup bowl. We paid $15 in total. Unfortunately, the food was disappointing. My ramen tasted like two-minute noodles with a bland broth, and I couldn't finish it. Sohn also only had a few bites of his tempura and suggested we go somewhere else for lunch. The meals were completely unsatisfactory and a waste of money. The staff did not seem to understand English well, so we didn't bother complaining and just left. I definitely won't be returning to this place in the future.

Saw several staff having their lunch and the food they were eating looked delicious. Son (who can eat Japanese every meal if able to) ordered tempura vegetables and I ordered a ramen noodle soup dish. Paid around for the noodle dish. It was appalling...and tasted like watered down minute noodles with packet broth. I was not able to eat the meal. Son had a couple of bites of his tempura and asked if we could go elsewhere for lunch. The meals were absolutely unacceptable and a waste of money. Staff appeared not to understand English very well so did not complain and just left. Would give this place a WIDE berth next time!
Perhaps I just have bad luck in picking restaurants in Canberra, because the decidedly average Sizzle Bento actually provided one of the more enjoyable meals I have had in the Aussie capital. I had BBQ beef with noodles, which was tasty and served relatively quickly....At least as memorable was the rather bold magpie (a nuisance bird about the size of a crow) that hovered until we got up from our seats, then attacked the scraps in our bowls. At least the location is convenient to hotels and the Canberra Center mall.
This restaurant offers excellent food and service. I highly recommend it for those seeking a high-quality meal with friendly, attentive, and professional service.
They did not know what a bingo box was. Nothing tastes right. Everything about the experience was bad and we suffered in the stomach afterwards

They were unfamiliar with a bingobox. The food did not taste good. The whole experience was negative and we felt disappointed afterward.
Great food and service. Highly recommended if you are looking for a quality meal with friendly, attentive and professional service.
