The Alp Trida ski house was once a great place for a decent lunch at the Samnaun ski resort. I've been a happy customer for over 20 years. But since it is closed for some time and (I suppose) again opened under new management, it has become a bad place. Elections are extremely limited, quality is very bad and prices are very high. A positive thing is the service was nice and very friendly. So, message to the owners, please return this to the place it was, with good local food choices with decent quality. There are already enough options for high-quality fast food style food in the area.
Just tried to order lunch, everything looked amazing until during our first 30 mins of waiting the rude sour faced staff just ignored us. Then after 4 promises of being served they then served customers who had just arrived. I made my very loud vocal point in a firm loud but respectful manner and we all promptly stood up and left. Reading other reviews seems a common theme with this place.
Ribs plain with touch of something to make it ribby but hardly finger linkingly good. Rosti, give it a miss. Cheese plate, you really can’t go wrong, unless you try, service woeful and grumpy bonus no tip! Coffee terrible. Skiing fantastic, thank God for ungrumpy skiing. Avoid unless you caught in a blizzard and no way home!
