This was such an odd hotel to stay at, not in a bad way, but just the layout of this place was confusing. I 'll get into that more as I get further into this review. I booked this hotel well in advance, and did a bit of research of the place. I checked out all the pictures, looked at multiple sites and somehow kept coming back to this. The parking lot is a bit wonky as there is one right in front of the place, but there is additional parking around the side that you aren 't really sure it is parking at first. DO NOT STAY HERE! THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE! I booked the bridal suite exactly six months before my stay to celebrate my 15th wedding anniversary. I booked directly with the hotel; however, I heard nothing from them after my initial booking email, so I called the day before my stay to confirm my booking of the bridal suite. We show up, check in, and get keys to a room that is beside the check-in desk that is across from the elevators, ice machine and lobby bathrooms. My friend had here wedding here. She has ceremony outside and reception inside. The outside ceremony was beautiful. The staff was not very explanatory of things when booking or checking in. I called ahead to get pricing then when I called again to book the price was much more than expected, not sure what jumped. When booked it was not explained that a $100 hold would also be placed on my card in addition to the amount of the room. That was unexpected as normally a hold for me is not that much. Unfortunately after going annually, we won't be returning. The entire facility is in need of attention. There were four couples in our group one bathroom had mold On the bathroom wall and ceiling. Our room smelled musty/moldy. Sliding door to patio barely opened in one room. One room outside handle on sliding door broken in two just hanging there! Siding hanging off side of building in a number of places. The breakfast buffet as changed dramatically store bought tater tots they put cheese on instead of home fries is one example. Spent the night here for my birthday Sept 1st. The receptionist are very nice but are understaffed so the wait to be checked in very long. Beware the indoor pool ISN'T heated as they claim. The water was very cold and the room was warm. We got a double suite by the stream side. The door to our room had issues locking and we had to retry several times to get it to close. At night we went to their night club but it was very empty and my friends and I were not a fan of the music. We only stayed a night here. The hotel does have restaurants on site and a shuttle that takes you to the casino if you're interested in that.
I'm sure it was very nice at one point. My wife and I were distracted from the get go by the pistachio in the floor when we walked into our room. Our room, we had just a king room, was very small. No decor on the walls. In general, management could do a lot better job keeping thing stocked. The staff we interacted were great but no towels at the pool, no bottles of water in the weight room (and hallway lights would be great), jacuzzi out of order, treadmill out of order, no keurig pots in the lobby next to the keurig. They advertise as movies on demand but that feature was out of order.
i've gone to several mother's day and easter buffets at woodlands and have been quite pleased with how well they managed the large crowds and served quality food and each time i walked away thinking the experience was worth the price. This Mother's day buffet the price was $49 per person i realize inflation but this was $7 dollars higher than the Easter buffet just last month. The shrimp curry had no shrimp I literally couldn't find it they must have cut the shrimp into a million tiny morsels. Not worth it last holiday buffet i will attend.
Bravo to Brunch! Great job new owners! Many of us have been in a social hibernation since the COVID. Today was quite a celebration. Most excellent food service. A million Thanks to the Staff

A very nice experience. very organized. The chicken Parmesan is perfect not under cooked not over cooked but perfect and all the food was good and overall a good experience worth the money.
Have been going there for years. Place needs lots of work. Mold in bathroom. Sliding doors need replacement. Not a good experience.
