We ordered cupcakes from here for my birthday yesterday. We wanted to try something different and were recommended this place by a friend. We wanted to try several flavors but the dozen cupcake option only allows 4. We decided to do 2 packs of the 4 cupcake option so we could choose 8 flavors. We ordered birthday cake, caramel crunch, chocoholic, chocolate cream, hot fudge sundae, cookies and cream, vanilla and chocolate, and red velvet. The cake part of the cupcake was moist but not much flavor to it. I felt most of the flavor rested on the cream on top. I got 4 cup cakes and 2 of the Halloween cookie and frosting cups all together it was $35 to me that's a fair price but unfortunately the cupcakes were not up to par for the price I was very disappointed they were very plain and lacking flavor after 2 small bites I was done couldn't eat any more my kids as well each had 1 and they love a good cup cake they ate less than half of their cupcakes and were done maybe it's because we went at the end of the day and the cupcakes were sitting to be fair I don't exspect a fresh...
My family has enjoyed Smallcakes for the past seven years, and I even worked there when it first opened under the previous owners. However, it no longer feels like Smallcakes. The cupcakes are extremely dry and hard, and it’s clear they’re several days old, despite the claim that they’re baked fresh daily. You can find better quality cupcakes at Walmart. They don’t even resemble traditional Smallcakes anymore; they lack the signature dark wrapping and often look poorly decorated. The cupcakes in the display case can sit there for weeks. I recommend going elsewhere.
It hurts my heart that the experience I had yesterday at small cakes in Elmhurst was horrible!!! The cupcakes I bought for my wife were not fresh! I was shocked! We've never had a problem with Small Cakes in other cities.My surprise for my wife was ruined by dry old cupcakes. My wife called to speak to a manager today. She was told to send an email. The young lady who spoke to her was rude and dismissive. So sad!

I've been ordering birthday cakes from here for two years, and I’m consistently impressed. This time, I chose a peanut butter cake and a cookies and cream cake. I even had to ask them to prepare the cakes in just 24 hours, but to my surprise, they were ready and sitting in the fridge just an hour after they opened. I checked on them, paid, and left. Everything was perfect, and the taste was absolutely delicious!
I had the chance to try her pop-up at Lake Forest Oasis, and I was blown away by the Cannoli Cupcake. It was incredible! The chocolate butter cake was even more impressive. Without a doubt, these are the best cupcakes I've ever tasted.
I highly suggest the Smallcakes Cupcakery in Lagrange much nicer staff. I don’t recommend the Small Cakes in Elmhurst . They messed up my order and then almost wanted to charge me for it .. this place is a mess.. ?
I’ve had 2 birthday cakes made here, and each time they were a huge hit! Delicious cakes and excellent detail on the cakes. I’ll would highly recommend!
