Was told they were running out of food… Then the follow up response was “it’s 9 pm on a Saturday during a football weekend” Actually no, it was 7:30 when we were denied service. Apparently this restaurant has no idea that football schedules release months in advance. Their also apparently completely unaware that they live in a University town that often is responsible for hosting massive football games. They have provided zero solutions for being unprepared for an influx of patrons and have only provided excuses as to why they seem to be only food service providers in Oxford who aren’t prepped for this type of event, which is something all of the other businesses locally seem to have a well...
I have never been treated so terrible. They profiled us from the moment we walked in for having tattoos and being minorities. When questioned multiple times about our table, the story changed; from the wait time, to “9 people “ being ahead of us at 7:30 although they don’t close for hours… if they can’t serve that many people.. then why they open?! Then saying they “ran out of food” to get us to leave This place is open til 10pm. It’s a Saturday night… you don’t run out of food.
First visit to Sola and very impressed. Had the snapper special which was as good as Kingswood (which is really quite a compliment). Great duck dumpling appetizer (dumplings were authentic and obviously handmade). Our server cheerfully had an off-menu dish (crab picata) made for my wife. Great service, good drinks. Sola has moved to the top 3 on my Oxford list.
My first visit to this restaurant— and Aleia made us feel right at home!! The menu is not complicated so choices are easy— and the drinks menu is interesting! I had the chicken piccata but the special for the day was salmon and my friend really enjoyed it! We felt well served and happy with our choices!! Good ambiance also!! Highly recommend!!

Food was fantastic. Brussel sprouts not an easy vegetable to cook but perfectly cooked with char and wonderful flavors. Dumplings with white and black sesame seeds had balanced flavor with bit of a kick. Wedge done well and fries were perfectly cooked with homemade ketchup. $5 drinks topped off a wonderful meal.
This place has great atmosphere and even better food. The wait staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. I would absolutely eat here again the next time I'm in the area.
Sunday brunch was fantastic, get anything with the Hollandaise sauce on it, you won't be disappointed, maybe the best, creamiest cheese grits ever. Staff is superb
Always always always good! Every single thing I've ever had there has left me satisfied and happy. I just wish I could try it all!!

The Ahi Tuna was excellent. Great service. A lovely meal with a friend. A fun place on the Square.
