O Solar was recommended to us by a friend and it did not disappoint. It is situated a couple of streets back from the main tourist street in Cambados but it is definitely worth tracking down. On arrival the waitress was very friendly and gave us some good recommendations from the menu. We started with Calamari and Scallops and they both tasted amazing and very fresh. On mains consisted of Monkfish, a T-Bone steak and a filet on steak, again all were beautifully cooked and tasted great. Our meal was washed down with a lovely bottle of local house Albariño. We all finished off with a glass of Coffee Liqueur. Overal, a great meal in lovely surroundings. I look forward to our next visit.
Hemos ido a comer la marihuana para las opiniones de lectura y la verdad es que ha valido la pena. es un pequeño lugar, así que recomiendo reservar. el tratamiento y la atención rápida y familiar. probar la gran mariscada (60 euros), donde se puede elegir ostras o afeitadoras y buey o centollo. también entra gambones en el plato y 2 neats cocidos. Al final, 2 sierras. todo muy bueno, mariscos de calidad. Recomiendo postres (4 euros casa uno) , 100% casa, para destacar el pastel de queso. delicioso barbero de la casa. Resumiendo, si regresamos a la zona, pasaremos de nuevo por este típico lugar gallego: comida casera, tratamiento fresco y familiar.
If you can ever call Cambado touristy that is. This restaurant we found in a side street. It definitely did not look like there was going to be a restaurant at the end of this road. Loved the cigales they served as a starter. Loved the main course which was fish done in a traditional way a la zarzuela. And I loved the way this seemed to be a Family business with several generations in it and the more senior seem to know their stuff. I caught a glimpse of them working away. The decor is also pleasant and traditional. They have put effort into that. It is the kind of restaurant you will take the Family for a nice outing for Sunday lunch.
Hoy He ido a comer allí con mi padre, y la verdad que hemos comido como en casa. Hemos pedido la gran mariscada (55€ y la verdad que fue todo espectacular, sólo con ver las fotos te hará la boca del agua, todo era muy bueno el marisco fresco y en su punto, no me ha dado tiempo para hacer la imagen de la zanahoria y el pastel de queso, que era exquisito. el trato no podría ser mejor la camarera muy agradable y atento, la cocinera salió que resulta que ella era la dueña y nos aprovechamos para felicitarla por toda la comida y estábamos hablando con ella un buen rato, muy agradable y todo impecable. 100% recomendado

great food. smart place. a bit off the beaten track but its worth the extra distance. the menu is typical of restaurants in cambados. particularly recommend the steak and veal here
