What a great place The food was outstanding and one of the best Italian food I've ever had. The dough and pasta freshly made, great choice of drinks and heavenly delicious desserts. Unfortunately there was no tiramisu already but I have an excuse to go back there. A tiny minus for the customer service. We have been waiting ages for drinks and meal (it was only us at that time, not in rush hours), we got dishes we didn't order, we had to ask couple of times when we'd get our meals, the waitress forgot about our drinks... This was September 2020 and I hope the service is a lot better now. Good location, very cosy, nice decorated place too however if all table are occupated then it's very loud...
I’ve been wanting to check this place out and I finally got to! All i can say is I wish I had visited sooner! The service was amazing. Waiter let us choose where we wanted to sit, gave us enough time to choose. You pay before receiving the meals which I like as it allows you to eat at your own pace. Food was super nice. You could tell everything from the pasta to the sauces were fresh. We had the Smoked Aubergine pasta (you can choose from 3 different types of pasta, I had tagliatelle), the BBQ
I had dinner here recently and really enjoyed my meal. the carbonara was creamy and tasty and was a generous portion size. the prizes were moderately skillful and they get what they pay. the reason why I only gave this place was 4 stars because the sitting area was small and we had to sit in bar stools that a bit unpleasant ate. the environment would probably be good if they were on a fast lunch break, but it is not ideal for longer dinner. all in all, a beautiful place I will visit again!
Food was amazing! So so good and authentically Italian, you can just tell. Coffee and customer service were also excellent. Should really be rating 4 stars because there was a real issue with cleanliness, the cutlery we had laid out had food residue on it, the tables had not been cleaned in ages (specks of dust and food in the ridges) and the general interior of the venue felt unfinished and unclean. However, the food just about justified it all.

solo grano is the top Italian restaurant in Nottingham. I have had numerous meals there, and the napolitana pizza never disappoints. It always tastes just as good as it did the last time. The coffee is also excellent and consistently well-prepared. The atmosphere of the restaurant is cozy, and the staff are all fantastic - welcoming, friendly, and pleasant to be around. My visit to Nottingham wouldn't be complete without a meal at solo grano.
The restaurant experience was fantastic! The staff was extremely friendly, attentive, and helpful when I inquired about the types of pasta available (since it was my first time there). I ordered the king prawns with tagliatelle pasta, as well as the cheese and garlic focaccia. The pasta dish was one of the best meals I've had in months! I will definitely be returning soon to sample more of their dishes.
