We 've been going here since June this year (2022). I never eat meat in a restaurant, all I ever get is fat. Grosses me out. But the first time here I ordered the sliced lean brisket and I barely cut off any fat. We kept coming back as it is delicious.Happy with the food. Service is always a little flaky. I used to enjoy getting takeout from this place because their barbecue was superior to others in my area, but I've noticed a significant decline in attention to detail in recent years. Previously, the corn would always come on the cob in its own Styrofoam container, but now it’s served in a cup. The ribs have less meat on them than they did before, and the cornbread portions are much smaller now. The service is excellent, and the food is always carefully packaged, but I really miss the level of detail in the food that they used to provide.
This is definitely my new favorite rib spot! My mom and I arrived tired on June 11th, just 30 minutes before closing, but we were warmly welcomed. The waitress—whose name I unfortunately forgot—was amazing! She was so friendly and took excellent care of us. We ordered the baby back ribs, St. Louis ribs, and some coleslaw. Everything was absolutely delicious! The service was really fast, and the prices are reasonable. We will definitely be coming back for more!
My friend and I dined at this Sonny's tonight, and while our waitress, Lauren, was exceptional and provided excellent service, the chicken and pulled pork I ordered were the driest I've ever had in my 23 years. Unfortunately, the brisket wasn't much better either. The baked beans were tasty, and the macaroni and cheese and ribs were just okay, but the chicken and pulled pork were inedibly dry. I'm giving it 3 stars solely because of Lauren's great service.

I visit this restaurant regularly, and usually, my experiences are quite positive. However, today was different. The table was excessively dirty, and the food didn't meet the usual standards. I suspect it might have been an off day, which can happen. Overall, this place is generally very good.
Great service! Our server was fantastic, and the food was delicious—tender and not too salty. We enjoyed the coleslaw, cornbread, chicken, and pork ribs. Everything was amazing! My friends and I had a wonderful time. Keep up the good work, Sonny! May God bless you.
I always come here for the barbecue ribs and pulled pork dinner. The restaurant is very clean, and the staff are pleasant. I've never been disappointed with the food.
