Went with a party of 12 for a special occasion. We asked if there was a fixed menu to help with the cost. They said sure, we got a small portion of pasta, a small salad and a choice of chicken francese, a short rib, salmon, or veal parm. The food was ok and then the check arrived. They charged us over $85.00/pp!!! Our bill came out to $1500.00 with drinks and tips. I was taken back, seeing as we could have had steak and lobster, and it would have been cheaper. We spoke with Jose, the manager, and he rudely agreed that it would have been cheaper to order lobsters or steak off the menu, and he added that WE asked for the fixed menu. We spoke to Jose, the manager, who bluntly admitted that ordering lobster from the main menu would have been cheaper, but we had specifically requested the fixed menu. While I acknowledge it was our oversight not to ask for pricing, when I got home, I checked the website and found that the highest catering package was $85 per person, which also included hot and cold appetizers as well as filet mignon and lobster as options. We didn’t receive any of those items. The closest catering package to what we were served was about $55 per person. I recently dined at Sophia with a group of 12 and I wish I could give it zero stars. The food was terrible for the price, and it didn't even come close to being authentic Italian. They really shouldn't call themselves an Italian restaurant. The atmosphere, music, and food were all mediocre at best. To make matters worse, there were tiny flies in the salad, which clearly indicated that the lettuce hadn't been washed—absolutely disgusting! I ordered the Chicken Parm for take out ..It wasn't good but awesome . Definitely Organic Chicken that melts in your mouth tender and delicious. Since I owned a restaurant I know great food.. He was so gracious and accommodating I decided to reorder for the next day and had 2 days of the Chicken Parm...
