For national doughnut day yesterday, made a trip out to the beeeautiful Sorelle and Co and got an Orange Blueberry Doughnut. Even though I was only getting one item to-go, both the staff packing my good in a lovely box and staff cashing me out were super friendly and chatty. The shop is known for its dedication to sophisticated yet worry-free ingredients (gluten-free, soy-free, vegan, nut-free and preservative-free foods) so it seemed to be a great safe space to host big parties for kids, who are prone to a mix of allergies (there was a fun tea party going on upstairs, wish we had awesome places like these when we were young)! I am a regular client of of Pusateri's, in particular the Saks Food Hall location (given the proximity to my office). I have been a client of Sorelle several occasions, but, I really must learn my lesson, despite the product being of good quality..the service and professionalism of Sorelle is not of matching quality.Please, someone out there..I have no issue with the prices but given the lack of service and professionalism..not a returning client after several opportunities seeking improvement overall. Saks Food Hall is great but Saks please replace Sorelle with a business more professional and worthy of the prices charged.
A pretty environment, yummy treats and completely disorganized from a customer service perspective. They should spend as much time training staff as they do designing the interior and offerings. Staff walked past without acknowledging us, we ordered coffee and treats to-go since they were full and no tables were available. Then our hot drinks sat at the coffee bar in cups and saucers until after 10 mins I finally asked for our drinks. The barista had no idea what she was doing. The staff seem completely dis-engaged from everything. It was actually quite bizarre. They need a customer service overhaul.
The place is jaw dropping. I love the idea of incorporating high tea there too. I just wished they had something like this in my home town because then I would visit it all the time. I was surprised to see it was vegan, and gluten free, but the pastries were SOOO good. I went in with my 4 children, so I thought maybe we would be unwelcome, but they were so nice and very friendly. Packaging really does make a difference and it shows. Every little detail was noticed by me. I love their plates, napkins, boxes, place mats, van in the front. So so so cute and beautiful. This cafe looks gorgeous! And I'm amazed that we have something like this uptown. Really love the idea of gluten free vegan food, but was a bit disappointed, that's why not giving it 5 stars. I had tacos and my daughter had grilled vegetable sandwich with salad. For the price they charge they could do better on quality and quantity. The portions are tiny. However I love their sweets selection, everything tasted great so far. I think they should just stick to bakery or seriously improve food.
Not sure I picked the wrong item to sample on my first visit, but I thought the eclair was chewy and I didn't quite enjoy the taste. the cappuccino though was excellent. It was also a busy weekend afternoon and we were seated by the cashier. It was a clean, classy setting so the buzz and people bumping into my table on their way out certainly took away from our first experience.
I've only been to the the one downtown in the Saks food area. But both times I have enjoyed the food and I love that it's completely worry free. I do wish that at this location there were more savory selections rather then just sugary treats. The scones are delicious and so are the chocolate cookies. It's expensive but that's what to be expected from buying anything gluten free.
This place a little hidden jem, I cannot believe I have never been here before. Walking in here, I felt like I was in a café in PARIS, beasutiful creations with a perfect atmosphere to go with it. I appreciated every detail of beauty in this café.And recommend this to anyone looking for a downtown upscale café in Vaughan.Their menu is VEGAN! Réservez une table maintenant
