For 15 years, we have been making the trip from NYC to indulge in the delicious cakes at this bakery. The chocolate mousse and strawberry shortcake are our favorites, incredibly moist and not overly sweet. The pound cakes are also wonderfully moist. Since moving to Long Island, the 3-4 hour round trip has made it challenging to visit this bakery. We didn't realize how good Sorrento is until we tried other popular bakeries on LI, none of which compare. Sorrento has set the bar too high, and we are now spoiled. It would be great if they opened two locations on LI, they would dominate. It's important to note that the cake pictured is a day old, it is still moist but not as good as when enjoyed...
This restaurant offers a fantastic variety of high-quality cookies, candies, baked goods, cakes, and more. Their deli counter serves well-made, generously filled sandwiches. The Italian food section features some unique and delicious offerings. The bakery's bread is top-notch, making it one of the best in North Jersey. I make sure to stop by every time I'm in town to bring back treats for friends and family who can't easily access such great food!
My family and I have been coming here for generations. The food is the best in the world, and the staff are incredibly kind. We always order their desserts and breads for our special occasions and holidays. The place is clean, and everything they offer, from the bread to the cakes, is absolutely delicious. If I could give this place 100 stars, I absolutely would. Love and Sorrento!
This bakery is amazing! I haven't tried the Deli part yet, but the delicacies, cakes and breads are fresh and delicious. I wish I had got the name of the girl that helps me pack my pack of treats so well that if I had to make a sudden stop, the food was perfect even though they had tipped 100% to the head. The service is friendly and the food is to die!

I absolutely love this place! The sandwiches are terrific and the best deal in town for a modest sized lunch. And the baked goods are over the top delicious- but try to get it home for an after dinner snack if you have the will-power!
The bakery has currently the cutest and good tasty Easter cakes and cookies for kids! I have ordered a custom birthday cake for my nephew and I am hoping it would be awesome I usually like the cupcakes here and even the fondant cakes
The best bakery in Morris County has been around for over 40 years. They serve the best cannoli in the world, and their bread is substantial—definitely a must-visit spot in East Hanover.
