How does this place have so many 5 star reviews? Have these people not had good Italian food in their lives? Serious question here I dined here outside about a month ago, and i pretty much felt ripped off The place itself is nice, i'll give it that But to charge $45 for an entree with boxed linguini, and only about a handful i might add, with about a 3rd of a lobster claw, in a oil sauce with basil, is just plain ridiculous . Any boxed pasta dish priced over $30 Is highway robbery, i could make better at home.... The entrees here are very small, if they make this pasta fresh, they are not doing it right. Save your money, stick with fritto misto or even better, go to Aliotta's in torrance, gr...
The ambiance of this restaurant is top notch. It is like being in someone's home, just wonderful. Our waiter was excellent and kind, that part was just outstanding. I think what bothered me the most was the menu prices for what you get. I ordered pasta with lobster, and for $45 I would expect A LOT more lobster than a claw and some tiny pieces in the sauce, which honestly was not that remarkable taste-wise. We also ordered the fish, which was good but also not remarkable enough to pay $50. I honestly debated writing this review because we did have such a nice time. If money is no object go for it. I will go somewhere else next time.
5 stars all around little piece of Italy right here in the heart of hermosa beach. The crudo, burrata, uni pasta, branzino fillet and steak were absolutely MINDBLOWINGLY delicious. Service was also magnificent, it was a very homey, cozy, family owned vibes restaurant where the staff knew the super fresh specials by heart and truly took pride in their work we will be back for much more! Loveddd this restaurant. As soon as I walked in I loved the ambiance of dim lighting with candles. The seats are very comfortable which my husband much appreciated. The food is very good and the owner was so kind and attentive. This was possibly our last nice dinner before our baby is born and it was the perfect choice.
