Hidden, yes. A Gem, maybe to some. They are known for their homemade bread and homemade soups. They had about 7 soups available and a huge variety of sandwiches. I purchased a BLT with no cheese. Not typically customized, I guess, as they didn't ask me what kind of vegetables/toppings or what kind of sauce?? I also got a medium cream of mushroom. Nice thickness. It's quite salty though, very reminiscent of a Campbell's cream of mushroom soup in a can. The homemade bread is too light and airy for me, even when toasted. I do prefer denser bread. The bacon was nicely cooked and crispy. Came with shredded lettuce and tomato and mayo. This meal with a can of Coke and tip was $19.00.Not a budget f...
Always wanted to come here but never had debit or cash on me, and it finally happened today. Had a veggie soup and a chicken salad sandwich for a quick lunch. The soup was good, I liked the tomato base, just found it a bit too salty for my taste but still enjoyed it. The sandwich though I loved everything about it, especially the freshest, softest, tastiest bread I've ever had in a sandwich! The chicken salad was dressed perfectly, not too much mayo, with a good bunch of fresh juicy veggies inside. The owners, lovely couple from Croatia, are super welcoming and friendly, they instantly feel like family. No wonder why everyone in the area loves this place and their food highly recommend!??
Came here specifically for their mushroom soup as it’s my favorite and I read great reviews for it. Had the mushroom soup with the meatloaf sandwich both were very delicious but a bit salty. Might visit again and try their other sandwiches (perhaps there are other sandwiches that are less salty to balance out the excess salt in the mushroom soup)
Incredible mushroom soup, super fresh and soft bread, and such a lovely couple to speak with every time you go in and order. They work hard and are great to have a chat with while they prep your order. I'm sad I'll be moving away, but this will be a return spot for when we're back in town visiting. Our food was good! The bread was delicious and very fresh tasting. I liked the soup but it was a tad salty. The old man working was nice to us and we had a good chat with him. I just took a point off for salty soup and honestly this place is probably not the most sanitary. Overall a cute and yummy mom/pop sandwich shop!
