The reviews we read online were not wrong. It is well worth the 4 mile route from I-81 to enjoy a late afternoon brunch on our way home from vacation. The free handcrafted muffins were brilliant, such as fried chicken, corned beef and sides. The best pecan pie (except my own) we had and I would have had a plate full of the roasted marshmallow garnish. Our server was both professional and lovable. Whenever we are from this restaurant within 30 minutes, we will definitely be back!

Service was excellent, staff were all friendly and very polite. Both my husband and I had the fried chicken dinner and it was some of the best ever had. Our daughter had the salmon club with fries, the fries were cooked to perfection and the sandwich was amazing. We will definitely eat there whenever we are in the area.

Thank you for taking so amazing care of my grandparents for your 50-year anniversary dinner. They had a wonderful time and ran over the food and wine! Also thank you for coming to me so while you plan your dinner. You are the absolute best!

You've got hands down, the best reubs I've ever had in my life. And I love the waiting staff being so beautiful and pointed. I always recommend the Southern Inn to ask from the villagers where to eat in Lexington.
