We arrived in the Ironbound 5 minutes late (Devils game that night: be advised that rush hour can be slow , but there was a parking lot directly across from the restaurant with a pleasant and helpful attendee (you park the car yourself . The waiters who attended us were kind and professional gentlemen (old school: they didn't hand out menus until we all were seated, didn't interrupt our conversations at any point; I like that . The service at this restaurant is excellent. As soon as you sit down, they bring you their special soup as a complimentary starter. We tried two seafood specials, and both were incredibly tasty. The dishes were well-seasoned and made with fresh ingredients. We were impressed with the quality of everything we tried, including the flan and carrot cake, which were delicious. I will definitely be returning to this restaurant.
I have been a loyal customer of the Spanish Tavern for many years. The food is consistently delicious, the service is top-notch, and the atmosphere is welcoming. The restaurant is always well-maintained. Overall, everything about this place is consistently outstanding.
This is one of my favorite places. This time we split the paella and it was excellent. We also love their prawns and chicken dishes. It is an excellent place for a quiet dinner as the acoustics are not loud. we will be back.

It might have been the worst rice I have ever eaten. No flavor and undercooked and never seen the main course served with potato chips as one of the sides for a dish that cost $35.Sorry not a place to impress a date.
