Our group of 4 was seated near the kitchen which was fine but it was loud. It was too hot to be outside. Our server, Walker, arrived in the first couple of minutes to take our drink order. My wife had a mixed drink that she enjoyed. We ordered the Ahi Tuna Crisps for an appetizer. Walker did ask if that was all we wanted but didn't say it was a very small portion. It was 6 pieces but very good. I wish we had received a larger portion for the price. The main courses we ordered were an Italian Chopped Salad, Spaghetti with Meatball, NY Strip and Chicken Mushroom Risotto. All were very good and I felt the value was good for all of the entrees. For dessert, we all shared a large and tasty piece...
This restaurant is good value. There is a good selection of food and our choices were tasty. We split a pear salad but it did not come out with the almonds on the side as we requested. The Bolognese and chicken mushroom risotto were delicious. One minor complaint- the main came out before we were finished with our salad, so we had the sensation of being rushed. I think this is a result of the dishes being delivered from the kitchen by a person other than our server and therefore he could not control the timing. Great service otherwise. The atmosphere is that of a neighborhood restaurant where one is most likely to encounter someone they know.
The food is so good but the service is so bad. We waited 10 minutes to be greeted after being sat at our table. Drinks took another 20 minutes. Food took Forever. Ordering more drinks took About 25 minutes. The server messed up one order and our guest didn't get their food until everyone else was done. There really seems to be no sense of urgency whatsoever.
Our waitress was delightful. She could not have been better. Our food was just okay. There was plenty of it but it was very average. I had cheese ravioli and it was topped with rosemary. I did not taste the ravioli....just the rosemary. It overpowered the dish. Otherwise, the prices were very reasonable. The best part of the evening was our waitress.
