My experience at the restaurant has been fantastic since the departure of a certain employee who was quite loud and disruptive. She often distracted her coworkers and would gossip about every customer, not to mention her inappropriate flirting. Her absence has been noticeable, and many people have been asking about her, expressing their relief that she is no longer around. Her behavior was rude, judgmental, and unprofessional for someone of her age. It's clear that her leaving has positively impacted the atmosphere—both the staff and customers seem much happier and less stressed. Good riddance!
The food at Speedway is always fresh, and the staff are consistently polite. If anyone says otherwise, they might just be impatient like many locals. Often, there’s only one person working, so if you see others chatting in the store, it’s probably because helping customers isn’t part of their role. Life is like enjoying a glass of orange juice—you get out what you put in. The menu is diverse, and I haven’t found anything I don’t like. I visit regularly, but not often enough for the staff to know me personally, so this review is unbiased. People should just relax and go with the flow.

She would frequently flirt with every African American man she met, and has since moved to Ravenswood Speedway. Many patrons have been asking about her, and it’s evident that her absence is welcomed! Her behavior was rude, judgmental, and completely unprofessional for her role. With her gone, the staff seems much happier and less stressed, creating a much more enjoyable dining atmosphere. I woke up early and went to Speedway on W 4th and Oak since we had to start work at 5 AM. We got there around 3:31 AM, but the girl behind the counter immediately responded negatively, saying, "No, no! Are you serious right now? This is why I hate my job!" Her coworker just kept apologizing. I was surprised because I really enjoy Speedway and their menu, but after that experience, I'm not sure if I want to come back, even though I love the food. As for the café, the menu offers a great variety, and I haven't come across anything I didn't like. I visit frequently, though not enough for the staff to remember me by name. So, my review remains fairly unbiased. I think the key is to be patient and enjoy the experience as it comes.
