Four of us dined here, and we were very pleased with both the level of service and the quality of the food. This restaurant is the sister pub of The Bells at Peaover, which is also fantastic. The menu offered a great variety of choices. We opted for a seafood sharing plate, and there were two other options that I can recall—one was meat-based and the other was dessert. "We hadn’t been there before, so we were unaware of the ownership change. The food was delicious and very affordable, with a great variety of dishes. My husband chose the traditional Christmas dinner, I enjoyed a tasty lentil casserole, and our son opted for a burger. Everything was served by friendly and attentive staff who greeted us with smiles. My favorite beer, 'Dizzy Blonde,' was just right, and we even spotted Santa there! Well done to the team! Absolutely stunning country pub. We visited today after a walk in Marbury Park. Warm welcome, dog friendly and a lovely vibe. Very christmasy. Most of us had the fish and chips which was delicious. This is a nice pub with a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. They have a large selection of beers and an excellent menu. The food was wonderful. It would be a perfect place to visit if the local authorities focused less on empty bike paths and more on improving the road through Comberbach, which is in pretty poor condition.

Looked for a dog friendly pub to stop at after a walk in Marbury Country Park and what a find. Lovely food, attentive friendly staff, all in a great setting. Will definitely visit again. Highly recommend.

Great traditional pub there aren't many left. Sunday lunch is excellent proper home cooked style. Good beer and atmosphere. Friendly staff and great service. Can't fault it
