excellent pub that I found near adlington station on my way to home after a long walk over winter hill by rivington then adlington. this was a Saturday midday just the end of the 2pm eating served I had scampi. chips, which at just over £4 was a good size portion, good quality pub eating an absolute bargain. I also had 2 drinks including an enterprise of award-winning dark mild I hardly spent £10 in total extremely good value. this is a good kneipe for craft beer lovers with around 8 10 craft beers that are available with information on a board. very friendly staff makes spinners arms also worth visiting if they like tradional art pubs. I'll go back when I get the chance.

visited this pub for a pint after a local walk, as it has a call for fine ale. the ale has not disappointed with a fine choice of largely local brews. beer was well served and welcome friendly. while we were tempted by the menu, although relatiw was short and quite fundamentally agreed the three of us, the eating we had was hot and tasty. all dishes on the menu including our curry and sampi become less than a five that represents enormous value.

Called in on spec for a Sat breakfast. Very busy so they must be doing something right, however at £4 for a single Poached egg i did ask for 2 on 2 peices of unbuttered dry toast and £2.50 for a coffee, a...rip off considering they only charge £5 for a breafast with a drink. Did tell the landlady at the till but was told to ask for buttered toast next time ,which there will not be.
