Took the 120 bus from the train station one evening — a 10-minute ride, plus a 3-minute walk — to try out this recommended restaurant. My wife and I both ordered schnitzels, and they were fine. The beers were good, too. Be forewarned: the mid-sized schnitzels are big; you would need to be REALLY hungry, and not in a rush, to polish off the largest ones (called elephant ears in German). The restaurant 's ambiance definitely spoke home-style, and that 's what it felt like. Very friendly staff.
Based on the food, this would have been a straight 5-start rating. However, they seem to struggle to produce correct bills. Ours contained €22 for half a liter of red wine (we only had one glass or one-eigth of a liter), which we only realized afterwards. Of the two large beers we had, only one appeared on the bill, which we pointed out to the waiter. Other than the issues with the bill, we really enjoyed the meal and would probably go back.
