We were in Mallorca having another break. We usually eat in Puerto Portals as the restaurants are good and there’s almost always a nice ambience. We chose Spoon this evening as it is very good food and impeccable service. A German owned run restaurant that is a shining example. Wine glasses constantly topped up right at the correct time. Mixed sashimi plate as a pre starter to share. The lobster Caeser salad is highly recommended a whole lobster on Caeser. Tuna tartare also good. Liver with bacon excellent. We came based on previous reviews and a google search that included “family friendly.” The German owner/hostess rushed over to stop my child from touching the salt and pepper shakers and was clearly uncomfortable with children, which made us want to leave. Kids portions were tiny. Adult food was awful Asian bowls bland with no Asian flavoring and my (e)40 steak was ordered medium rare and came out medium. I complained to staff and no one cared. My (e)16 Margarita cocktail was served with lime and cheap tequila. I cannot understand why anyone is in this restaurant when there are so many other options in the port. Don’t waste your money here!!!
We visited Spoons a couple of days ago having been on our last visit to Portals a few years ago and nothing had really changed as the setting is the same looking out to the marina and both the food and service was very good. I would say the prices are at the top end for the food but you always pay a little more for the restaurants on the Marina so no real complaint
Very good restaurant in a luxury ambiente. The harbour is gorgeous. The food was delicious and people very nice. Everything, location, setting, guests, food, drinks and people made a great evening for us. I can recommend it and will come again if on the island.

Been spoons many times and enjoy this visit again. Nice location, decent menu, good wine list, good service. The food was very good three fantastic meals one went back as it was slightly under done. But again as good, solid 8 out of 10.
Phenomenal meal last night at this restaurant. Staff are lovely and switched on coming over to check everything is OK throughout the meal. Food was beautifully presented and well cooked.amazing deserts amazing too. Definitely a winner
What a great choice to have a long lunch. With so many quality restaurants to choose from, we are so pleased we chose Spoon. Excellent food choices, wines and faultless service.
Lovely restaurant food was so tasty and fresh , staff were very nice and welcoming , had the spring rolls to start and chicken noodles was really good will go back.
