Spottiswoode Hotel Bistro

I called into the Spottiswoode Hotel today for a quick drink. The pub is on the prominent corner of Hall St and Hudsons Road, just down from the Spottswood Railway Station. The pub will not win any prizes for interior decoration but they had a good range of beers and ciders on tap, plus a wide variety of other drinks on ice. The food is good, solid pub fare with daily specials such as roasts, steak and fish and chips. Meals are served all day. The prices are reasonable and the bar staff are enthusiastic. I don't want to judge a restaurant by one meal alone, but I feel compelled to comment on our experience with the Moroccan lamb burger. We went here with an entertainment book voucher and got two for one. The entertainment book listed this place as a gold finalist. However, had lunch here for two during the week. We both ordered the Moroccan lamb burger and were very disappointed. The lamb was processed meat and I couldn't identify anything about the flavour or seasoning that was Moroccan. Chips did not taste very fresh. We would have been even more disappointed if we had to pay full price.

Had a great good pub fare lunch here. Big serves great Clare Valley Riesling and mulled Cider. Good attentive service. Had the spinach ricotta tortellini (yum veggie option). Only comment chips could be crispier. Open fire and good acoustics. Worth a visit. Hearty fare. Réservez une table maintenant

One of my favorite places to go in the western suburbs of Melbourne. Generous proportions and great service. Warm fire place and a smoking area. Great for Families. I had Christmas lunch there 2017 and it was delish. Highly recommend.

We held our engagement party at the Spottiswoode Pub. Service, food and staff were fantastic. Compared to other pubs in the area they are extremely good value for money. Would definitely recommend and we will be back for other events.

This is a delightful old pub, plenty of separate ares with open fireplaces and large screen tv's, including outdoors, so you can always watch your favourite sporting event. They have good range of beers and it is great pub grub.

Big steak ordered medium. Came a little overcooked but for pub food it was ok. Very close to the train station is a bonus. Réservez une table maintenant
