Unpretentious, simple, flavoursome, and the price value equation in the patrons' favour.<br/ Thought I would duck out for lunch while working from home today. Thought I would try a place with no meat on the menu leaving me at the mercy of the Vegan gods.  <br/ First tried Chilli Bajji and if you enjoy chillies overall this was really good and the green chillies fresh.  <br/ Next I tried a dish I had not before: South Indian Thali with variety rice (chose lemon rice Sambar rice).  Gourd was cooked well with turmeric and tamarind.  Rices were enjoyable and even the dessert (Rava Kesari) a sweet semolina based offering was good.<br/ <br/ The place was clean and had about 7 people today (Thursda...

I visited this restaurant hoping to try their Banana Leaf meal, but unfortunately, it wasn't available, which was a bit disappointing. However, the food did not let me down. The South Indian thali had a comforting, homemade feel to it. I was excited to see Panniyaram on the menu, as it’s not commonly found in Indian restaurants in Melbourne, and I decided to order it. The server informed me that it would take some time to prepare, and it definitely did, but it was worth the wait. The interior could use some improvement, but the service was good.

I had been this place  along with my friend.  I ordered South Indian Plate meal and he ordered variety rice meal. His plate looks colorful and he said the rices taste very different. He is not able to explain. I tried it ,Yup, unique taste and lovely especially the tamarind one.  Many cups in my plate and was wondering where to start. The gentleman who served took time to explain me. I forgot everything when I had puffed bread with potato curry. Awesome. The masala butter milk is also very unique.  They do not serve meet ; .

We came here after coming across their outlet in a Carnatic music concert. First of all the food is so affordable and of high quality. When I read the reviews I was a bit anxious as many complained that there was a long waiting time. However, I found that their food was prepared fresh and that’s why it took time. Honestly I didn’t mind the waiting time because the food reminded me of home and even the idlys and milkshake were freshly prepared which often isn’t the case today. Réservez une table maintenant

Food: had the all you can eat banana leaf rice which was tasty. Ate with my hands! However they’ll pile your plate up with rice to make you full so you wouldn’t ask for the other side dishes. <br/ <br/ Service: waited for about 15 minutes for food to arrive. <br/ <br/ Price: I found it to be quite expensive for vegetarian banana leaf rice at $17. I would probably come more often if it were less than $15.

This restaurant is an excellent choice for simple, healthy meals. The prices are reasonable, and the portion sizes are just right. However, the staff could be a bit more attentive. The South Indian dishes and thali meals are the highlights here. Overall, I would rate it 4.5 out of 5.

The food is good, but the dishes could be served hotter. Meals should be fresh and piping hot. We ordered the aloo bonda, which were delicious and served hot. Despite this, I will definitely return and would recommend this place to anyone who misses the flavors of Madras mess food.

An authentic South Indian eatery right in the main street of Noble Park. Food is consistently delicious, quick and great value. Highly recommend the Mysore masala dosa and the spicy paniyaram. Also the filter coffee is great. Réservez une table maintenant
