I swear, I don 't learn! We have nick named the St. Albans Diner the nickel and dime you to death restaurant. Two of us came in for breakfast today and my boyfriend ordered the Deuc breakfast combo. French toast and bacon combo. His meal was $14.99. I ordered French toast, bacon, and home fries. The waitress rang me up at $6.99 for four pieces of bacon, $6.99 for a side of home fries, and $10.99 for French toast. My breakfast was $27 just because she rang everything up separately! This is the second time this has happened to me. Beware! They won 't tell you there 's a combo and that you are going to pay insane prices for sides! In the end two of us had a basic breakfast and walked out paying...
We visited the small town St Albans, Vermont, for food and gas before heading back to Canada. We found this small restaurant, apparently a very local one. It was around 2pm and still with many customers. We ordered the sandwich combo with soup and choices of sandwiches. The server was very friendly and helpful. The sandwich was, exceptionally, delicious (maybe we're hungry). The soup was thick and filling up. Fully satisfied when leaving the restaurant and continued our journey home.
