If you're like me and want to try every pie shop that you come across in every town you pass through, then you would have to stop at the St George Bakery. They make some of the best pies that I've had for a long time lots of meat and gravy filling plus the extra ingredient such as mushroom or onion if that's what you desire. The pies are not dry and most importantly the pastry is not thick. In addition the staff servicing behind the counter are extremely friendly. What more could you ask?
This bakery is fantastic, offering a wide variety of classic treats like fresh cream buns and vanilla slices. The staff are friendly and attentive, making the dining experience even more enjoyable. We came back on Saturday night and tried their Supreme pizza, which was loaded with toppings. They also have a Model T van that you can take a tour of St. George in if you're interested.
When calling into St George it is a must to call in to the Bakery for some tasty treats. Plenty of variety and all so yummy. Lovely friendly staff and good coffee as well. A must is to take a ride around town with Trent in the old T Model Bakers Cart. $5.00 per ride when raises money for RFDS. Great experience.
Just needed something to get me through to Gundy, so I decided to give the local bakery a go for a couple of pies. So I grabbed just 2 plain pies and a sausage roll, and I was pleasantly surprised, nice juicy filling and soft pastry, no concrete pastry here.I would certainly drop in again when in town. The coffee and apple cream turnover at this restaurant are fantastic, some of the best we've ever had. The service was fast and friendly. It's a wonderful place to enjoy great coffee and delicious treats, while also being able to sit and people-watch.
Excellent pies and coffee served at this restaurant, which opens early. It is important to note that there is a dress code for patrons from the southern states - no shorts are allowed before noon, especially during the colder winter months.
I am fan of a loaf of bread. Bought one and a piece of doughnut as well. Interesting enough is the pizza they make during certain days. I haven't had a chance thou. Final verdict, average.
Our motorhome broke down out the front of this amazing bakery! Popped in to grab a pie while waiting for help. Packed with people but service was amazing. The plain pies were to die for! Réservez une table maintenant
