Right, if you can put the dodgy 70s’ carpet to one side and focus on the food, this is the place for you. Yes, the pub is shabby, but the welcome is warm and the curries amply portioned and delicious. Following the advice of friends, we opted not to order a starter: they had visited earlier in the week and found there was simply too much food to dispatch comfortably. The pub was busy, so there was a bit of a wait for the food to arrive, but when it did we were not disappointed: my Lamb Methi was spicy, but fragrant and my wife’s House Biryani was packed with tender prawns, lamb and chicken. Management didn’t care to hear our complaint about food tasting off the meat curries didn’t taste right, tried to speak to 3 managers, first was a lady of Indian ethnicity wearing a managers badge she was very rude and arrogant didn’t want to hear anything bad said, then we tried to speak with the managing brothers Bharj and Karan but they didn’t want to know either. Very embarrassing situation when you try to talk to someone and can see bits of white rocks falling out of someone’s nose. Since the chef has changed the quality of curry seems to have changed to just like the managers of the business.
Despite this, we decided to give the place another chance, hoping it was just an off day. However, our second experience was even worse - we ordered food with naan and discovered the naan was raw and undercooked. It was disappointing to see the doughy texture and uncooked flour. Unfortunately, these experiences have led me to no longer trust this pub for quality Indian cuisine. I miss the days when I could rely on them for a delicious meal. Réservez une table maintenant
I recently dined at this restaurant with my family. The pub and dining area is quite outdated, with decor that resembles something from the 70s. However, despite the shabby appearance, we enjoyed the food, which was delicious and served in generous portions. We even had leftovers to take home! I would recommend investing in a refurbishment instead of spending so much on ingredients.
We ordered food, but the driver didn't make an effort to find us and marked it as delivered without contacting us. They claimed the road was closed, but there were no closures or issues. We received a refund from Just Eat, but we wasted 2 hours waiting and still didn't get to eat. This was an absolutely ridiculous and terrible service experience.
