The food here very good (based on previous visit) but their reservation process is horrible and they shouldn’t be on OpenTable. I made a reservation via OpenTable and when I got to the restaurant with my party we were told we didn’t have a table. The reason being is because they don’t actually hold tables via OpenTable they just add you to the list with walk-ins. That being said the hostess wouldn’t even give us an idea on how long our wait would be. So, we left the restaurant only to receive a call 25 minutes later that our table was ready and we should have been more patient.
No parking lot so we arrived at 7:05 for a 6:45 reservation as we searched for parking. The hostess was mean and had an attitude. Especially because I booked on open table. Tried to seat me right in front of the door and when I asked for another table, she told me no because I was late for my reservation We eventually got a table for 2 and it was very narrow and right in front of the kitchen. The food was wonderful. Very fresh. But the ambiance in the restaurant is not great. Hostess apologized at the end of the night and gave us a a free dessert which was yummy.
I knew we were for a treat when we arrived for an early Easter dinner to find a whole lamb that swirled over an open fire on the sidewalk in front of the restaurant. We had a wonderful meal. My Arni Kokkinisto can be the best I've ever eaten! The restaurant was packed, but there was room to breathe and the staff moved efficiently and cheerfully through the afternoon. As I have often said, you never have to leave New Jersey. And it is thanks to places like Stamna Greek Teverna!
Consistently excellent. The food is authentic, affordable, and the atmosphere is fantastic. My only complaint is that their dishes are often better than my own cooking. My husband especially loves their lemon potatoes more than mine. We dine here regularly and have also used their catering service, which was fantastic as well. I adore this restaurant and highly recommend it!

I went to this restaurant on a busy Friday night and it was crowded. The waiter quickly seated us and our appetizers were served within 15 minutes. The service was excellent, with friendly and attentive staff. I ordered the grill plate for myself and my partner, and there was plenty of food leftover to take home. What more could you ask for? Keep up the good work!
Stamna is always delicious and good service. They probably should not be on Open Table each and every time we've made a reservation through Open Table they seem confused and there has never been a table ready for us at the reservation time. It doesn't take long, but there's always a surprised look when we say we used open table.
I love Stamna! The service is wonderful, and the food is always great and consistent. I know it sounds simplistic, but the grilled Octopus is the best!
Our food, appetizers salad and entree, all first rate and served perfectly by a pleasant capable waiter. All for a very reasonable price!

Food and service was terrific from start to finish. We especially enjoyed the lightly fried eggplant appetizer. It was terrific!!
