Terrific evening at Steamer Seafood! Haven't been to the island in a couple of years and an old tradition was to visit Steamer at Coligny Plaza. We found out they moved, but we still wanted to check it out. Love the new place. It's spacious, has plenty of seating inside and out, and offers live music.Our server was Max, and we found out he's from Owensboro, KY. Right away we knew we were in good hands, being a fellow Kentuckian. Max was very attentive all night, but never to the point we felt rushed. He took our drink order right away and we didn't wait long for the drinks to come out. He asked if we had any questions and easily answered the one about gluten free options for our sides.We ord...
3/5 because this meal was way over priced and the prices for the servings here were way out of the normal range. I wouldn't personally won't come back here just because of the pricing. That's a hard thing to say when it was a solid meal, however there are a lot of other places that serve solid, quality meals at a decent price.The food quality was excellent and service was excellent.Great $10 Mojito was spot on.I will post a photo of the receipt for 1 meal and 1 drink. seemed to be about 25% over priced. It's a good place but just can't make it on my recommendation list if a restaurant can't hit on all areas. It missed it, so I can't recommend....
I highly recommend this restaurant! Traveling as a large group can be challenging, but the staff were kind, accommodating, and prompt. We had made a reservation, and our table was ready upon arrival. Our waiter, John, was fantastic! He was well-informed about the menu, got our drinks and appetizers started quickly, checked in on us regularly, and was very personable. Every dish we tried was delicious. I ordered the seasonal special, the Sizzlin' Shrimp Stack, and it exceeded my expectations!
I can't believe I drive by this restaurant every day and never stopped for an actual meal. This is by far one of the best places on the island!! I'll skip the waterfront view for these bull bites and excellent service directly from the owner! Their seafood their meat and even some unique items are absolutely delicious! as busy as they were that night the owner took time aside to make sure we were taken care of. Other than our waiter, this place was terrible. Do not go here. Okra was ice cold, all of our fried food tasted horrible...obviously all cooked in tje same oil, and potatoes were dripping with oil and tasted like fish. $80 FOR A SH!t meal ??? Not cool. Makes sense why nobody was there at 7pm.
Everything was so pleasant and it started at the front door. Our server John did an excellent job taking care of our party and every other employee that stopped by was just as great as the next. Great vibe, good music, which created a super atmosphere and the food was awesome!
Felt welcome right at the front door. Our family of six found something on the menu for everyone. I really liked my shrimp which were perfectly blackened plus sneaking some of my wife's greens. This is a great family place for those seeking seafood with Cajun options.
