We were there for a busy Saturday brunch, so the service weakness may have been from being understaffed. Otherwise, the food and ambiance were both just sublime. Delicious Croque Monsieur, Quiche, and Crepe Salmon. Amazing deserts. Even the bread was delicious. The restaurant itself is a beautiful old building (looks like it may have been a house/mansion). We were disappointed in the sun on our table. We asked for an umbrella and were told there were none. Then, 15 minutes later they brought out an umbrella for another table. My side dish came wrong. Stella Mare was an amazing experience. From the food to the drinks, the service and ambiance, it was all professional and with excellent attention to detail, such as not a wrinkle on the tablecloth and the butter being textured. The New York steak was cooked to Medium-Rare perfection, and went really well with the Cognac Peppercorn sauce, the Ratatouille, and the Potato Purée. The Sole was impeccably complimented by the Sautéed Spinach, Confit Cherry Tomatoes, and contrasted with Al Dente Potatoes. We sat in the greenhouse which had a cozy fire roaring on that chilly night. Will dine here again!
Once one of our favorite spots, it just doesn't compare to how it used to be. We were excited to order some classic French dishes, but this time they fell flat and didn't resemble the authentic flavors we remember. Instead of the "low-and-slow" cooking that enhances the taste, it seemed like subpar ingredients had been hastily prepared and overcooked, leading to dishes that were nearly tasteless. While the ambiance was lovely and the service attentive, neither could compensate for the disappointing food.
This place has it all! Good food, great views, charm, and great service. I ordered the short ribs and my husband ordered the Steal Fritas. Both decadent and delicious. The French Onion soup was INCREDIBLE. If you?re a French onion soup lover?. You?ll want to try this. Slightly sweet, with a cheesy pepper finish. Perfect ratio of ingredients.

Dinner was so good I must say that there is no complaint about Anny off the order everything was great the food was delicious and the wine was delightful easy to drink. what a great evening ?
This is a lovely restaurant in so many ways. Great food. A unique and charming location, attentive staff. We loved it and will be back again soon!
