As long as I can remember, Sternen has been synonymous for me with Worb . As a kid, I 'd like to go down to their little zoo at the back, which for a while had lamas and other funny stuff. As an adult, have come back at least a dozen times, and have never been disappointed. It 's the sort of place you come for a weekend lunch. This is traditional, rich, good Swiss countryside food, with a touch of class. It 's the sort of place you 're at ease in, inside the traditional-style interior in the middle of winter, on the terrasse in early autumn or summer, with the feeling of being a bit away from the pretentiousness of the city. Game season is a particularly nice time to sample the specialities over here, but really anytime is good. It can be as laid-back, or as classy, or as romantic as you make it. Sure, there have been (very rare) hit-and-misses with the food, but overall this is a sure bet, with friendly service to boot. It 's not the cheapest in the world, but it 's never disappointed so far.
We really like the place. It's typical Swiss farm style building with young and FRENDLY service. The food is good particularly the steak tartare with calvados. Also the bratwurst with rosti is excellent. Good selection of local Swiss wines. I recommend it and will come back again. CIAO
