I did just that and was rewarded with a plate of pure bliss: pot roast with creamy mashed potatoes smothered in gravy. And that’s not all—it came with black-eyed peas, lima beans, and cornbread on the side. To top it off, I treated myself to some delicious buttermilk pie (sounds strange, right? But it was amazing!). We encountered a brief wait since we arrived during the lunch rush, but it wasn’t too long—about 15 minutes before we were seated. My wife and daughters opted for hamburgers, while I chose the steak sandwich. Our food arrived quickly, and as soon as it did, I knew I was in for something special. This is a wonderful little restaurant that you absolutely must visit! I had the meatloaf, mashed potatoes, green beans, and corn, which all came with a side of cornbread. It felt like I was transported back in time, enjoying my mother's cooking at the kitchen table. And a sweet tea to top it off—all for just $11! You really can't beat this place.
The restaurant is usually quite busy, but that's only because everyone knows how amazing it is. The food is outstanding, and the service is relatively fast.
