Nostalgia is a powerful thing. Growing up in Sacramento, Straw Hat Pizza was one of my favorite places, and I looked forward to returning after many years away. Unfortunately, it didn’t quite match my memories. Whether my taste buds have changed or the quality has, the pizza felt different. The crust was cracker-like, somewhat like an upscale Totino’s, and while the twists were okay, they left an odd aftertaste. The prices were fair, but overall, my fond childhood memories didn’t quite hold up.
The staff and owners are exceptionally warm and attentive—respectful doesn’t even begin to describe them. The atmosphere is casual and inviting, offering comfortable seating with choices like cozy couches or classic chairs. I love stopping by for a fresh salad from the salad bar, a personal pizza with two toppings, and a glass of iced tea. By the time I finish lunch, I’m always relaxed and completely satisfied. I highly recommend giving this place a try!
It's a pizza place, and you either really enjoy Straw Hat or you don't. It wasn't as good as I remembered, but they do have a small salad bar that was decent. Pizza isn't usually my first choice since I find it too heavy with all that cheese.
Spaghetti Can of Soda: What can I say... I really enjoyed my meal. One thing to mention, though, is that the menu lists Coca-Cola products, but I ended up being served a Pepsi instead, which isn't my preferred option. Réservez une table maintenant
I absolutely love Straw Hat Pizza and wish there were more places like this! This location is fantastic, and the young staff members are incredibly friendly and respectful.
I've been visiting Straw Hat since I was a kid, and the pizza still tastes as amazing as I remember. I absolutely love it, and it brings back wonderful memories of my mom.
Spaghetti with regular soft drinks: The sauce was a bit too much for my taste. I would prefer less sauce and more pasta. Still, it was a flavorful meal overall.
This pizza was fantastic, loaded with plenty of extra cheese. The delivery driver was very friendly and arrived quickly, bringing the pizza hot and fresh! Réservez une table maintenant
