If you like to pay £19 for a plate of sweet chilli sauce with a little spice, frozen battered prawns and an overwhelming amount of peppers and onion this is the place for you ! Oh and don't forget you have to pay extra for noodles or rice... so £22 for a plate of food that is chip shop standard. In addition to the high price and cheap food the place feels unclean. We had a wall right next to us that was splattered with food, very off putting. I would have asked to be moved but my friend doesn't like a fuss and was too embarrassed to ask. This food experience was not good value for money there was 4 of us with all different dishes but the sauce was exactly the same on each dish. The worst part was the wait for our main courses whilst the chefs /staff were dealing with food takeaways deliveries. We will vote with our feet next time visit an authentic Asian restaurant with a lot more choice different tasting sauces. £166 which was apparently with 25% off mains)Totally overpriced for the quantity quality of the food.
I'm a regular visitor to Formby, Suay being the place to enjoy the best food and service. There just a few days ago, I was tempted by the Vegetable Tempura delicious. This was followed by Szechuan Chilli Prawns again totally delicious. The place offers a warm welcome, the staff always friendly and polite. If you're looking for excellent food and service, this is the restaurant to find it.
Again, Suay was a fab experience. Superb fresh food. We had the spring rolls to start. The Massaman curry was so lovely. Nasi Goreng was fab. Service was brill. One of our favourite restaurants in Formby.

Really nice food and big portions. Staff were friendly and checked on the table frequently to see if we needed anything else. Would recommend!

Amazing food and cocktails as always. I’ve never had a bad meal at Suay, definitely somewhere to try if you’ve never been.
Quality of food appears to have deteriorated dry crispy duck and sides. Not very warm, poor and pricy.
