The fact that this place carries the Subway name is a disgrace to the franchise, as almost all the others I go to are excellent. This one however is a disaster from start to finish. I came here again on the hope that my previous bad experience was a one-off nightmare...I was sadly mistaken as the previous time was better than this shambles. The staff are careless and bored acting, the sandwich was not made the Subway way...the staff member serving used the same gloves from the previous person's sandwich of an Italian BMT, after I asked for a Veggie Patty sandwich. Now I'm not a vegetarian (I just happen to like the veggie patty) but that would have offended a vegetarian I'm sure...having the remnants of three different pork products all over their sandwich. I recalled from last time the shocking sight upstairs, but I ventured up in the hope it wasn't as bad...I was wrong...it was worse. It was like 17 chimps on some sort of hallucinogenic drugs had been up there previously. There was food everywhere, covering the tables...sauce on the floor...food stuck to the ceiling even (I mean....honestly) and food wrappers all over the place (I just wish now I had taken a photo to post for everyone to see my incredulity of the place). This is obviously not the staff who have done this (at least I hope not) and is a glowing sign of the bored youths of St Helens flippant attitude to any sort of normal behaviour....however, this doesn't mean they can't keep it clean...or close upstairs off if they can't control its mess. I didn't sit upstairs and instead chose once again to eat outside on the bench...the sandwich was average but the whole experience once again made me lose my appetite and half the sandwich got binned. After this attempt, I sadly will not ever return to this Subway branch. St Helens and the Subway franchise should be ashamed of this place.
