We went there yesterday (Sunday) for my son's birthday. We were 4 including my 2 year-old grand-daughter. We have been here before and have never regretted it and yesterday was no different. To get here, you pass by all the big commercial Sugar Shack along boul. Arthur Sauve near St-Eustache. These places had line-ups outside, parking next to impossible and to keep up with the times (?) a ferris wheel at Constantin's (really ?). First come, first served. Get in line, freeze and bring a lunch.We had reservations for 12:30 and at 12:30 we were seated. They have 2 big rooms that have alternate hours for seatings so when you leave one room, they open up the second while they clean up the first....
My wife and I heard of these places and wanted to see what the craze was all about. We left feeling happy and full and more quintessentially Canadian than ever before.Menu: the menu is a fixed menu with multiple courses and dessert options. We visited Constantin's yesterday with our family of 4, including our 2 year old granddaughter. We have been here before and have always had a great experience, and yesterday was no different. To get here, you pass by a wonderful sugar shack on boul Arthur Sauve in St-Eustache. The parking can be a bit tricky, but once inside, the atmosphere is cozy and welcoming. As you see by my previous review, this place has lost a rating point. I was there last Saturday March 25th with my wife, son, grand-daughter and mother-in-law. The place is still nice and relatively small.The food, as usual, was varied and very good, the staff always as friendly and helpful.The only negative point of this visit was the maple syrup on snow after the meal in the old sugar shack. Usually, you have a rack with snow upon which the syrup is ladled out. The syrup then freezes a bit and, with a popsicle stick, you roll it on the syrup. Excellent. ease of access and parking, entrance to the open rooms, all the very kind staff, service to the quick and attentive table (no need to ask the employee, she watches everything with kindness), cabin with pets for children, cabin for the shoot etc. the usual food (peas soup, ham omelette, crib ears, condiments, bread, cretons, beans, coffee beans Everything was very good. Not too strong mood music. nice experience at reasonable price. 24 adult, 50% for children 13 and under.
beautiful sugar hut off the tourist circuits. typical meal, yelling ears, (crumbs of grilled lard and salted ) omelette compared by the French to that of the mother poulard, smoked meat, chomeur poudding, maple pie, everything is there!!! singer Quebecois, atmosphere and warm rustic decoration, and to close this beautiful evening, maple shoot not to be missed in the nearby hangar.
