New place for us to try and we were happy overall! Our server was attentive and Laura, the owner, was really lovely. I have food allergies and she made sure to find out the specific ingredients in the vegetables and rice and beans. My friend said the corn bread was the best she’s ever had and really enjoyed the jerk chicken entree. I had the vegetable entree and rice and beans with a side of plantains. The plantains were delicious but the main dish lacked flavor and was pricey in comparison to the meat options, but knowing I can eat there and there was attention paid to my allergies, I’ll be back for sure. First time customer. Friends had recommended Sugar Shack but had not had the opportunity until now. I had the ribs and the meat just fell off the bone, add jerk sauce and even better. The food is delicious and the service is good. It's a little loud inside when the restaurant is very busy. Reservations can be made and are helpful on the busy nights.
