Sunset Slush Oib Sandcastles: Sweets Treats

While dining in OIB last night, we had the pleasure of meeting the lovely owners of Sunset Slush, who kindly gave us a card to try their establishment. From the moment we walked through the door until we left, the staff treated us like family. They were especially great with our toddler, encouraging him to sample different flavors and offering really helpful recommendations. The Italian Ice was absolutely delicious! We particularly enjoyed the Blue Vanilla, which was a unique and refreshing flavor. It's local gems like this, with amazing owners and staff, that make OIB such a special place. We'll definitely be returning!

This place is a typical Italian ice shop. The staff is quick and friendly. However, one customer had to wait longer to place their order because the employees were distracted by a guy further back in line who looked like someone they recognized. One of them pulled up a photo to compare, and they all went over to the guy to marvel at the coincidence before getting back to serving customers. Once they returned to the register, they efficiently processed the orders and moved the line along.

This place was really awesome—no pun intended! My child really enjoyed the slush. My only complaint is that I couldn't have one because I didn't notice any sugar-free or low-sugar options available. However, they did offer some of the best candy choices and prices around, which is impressive considering there are at least two dedicated candy stores in OIB.

We refer to them as Black and Yellow due to the black and yellow umbrellas on the beach carts. However, the store is far superior to the carts because it offers a much wider variety of products. They also serve ice cream, and it's Blue Bell, which happens to be my favorite. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful as well. Réservez une table maintenant

Had our first experience with Sunset Slush this past weekend while on vacation and it did not disappoint! The mango, watermelon, peppermint, cherry, and peach flavors were our favorites! So refreshing and a perfect combination with being on thebeach.

I made a last-minute visit to pick up a birthday treat, and Bella, Ian, and Aiden were incredibly helpful in preparing our slushes before they closed for the night. They were very kind and respectful, and I will definitely return!

They close whenever they want to, and even though the door says they close at 11, there have been several occasions when they shut down early without any explanation. Réservez une table maintenant

Authentic Italian ice! It's so delicious. Be sure to grab a souvenir cup for more affordable refills. You'll definitely want to come back!

The slushy was delicious, and there were a fantastic variety of flavor options. I really enjoyed the music too!
