We celebrated my wife's birthday and my retirement during our recent visit to this restaurant. I made a reservation for my wife's birthday on Open Table and we were greeted and seated promptly upon arrival. Our booth was decorated with a Happy Birthday sign and covered in rose petals, which was a lovely touch. Our server, David, was exceptional and provided great menu suggestions. We started our meal with a glass of Pinot Grigio for my wife and a perfect Grey Goose dirty martini for me, along with Caesar and spinach salads that were fresh, crisp, and flavorful. Everything was great. Waitress was excellent. The lamb was delicious but would have liked to have 1 more rack to satisfy the adult man. The flavor and preparation were exceptional. We also ordered the tomahawk. First time we did it. For Father’s Day we thought to try it. For the price we did not experience the wow factor that we thought it deserved. A terribly disappointing experience for a special occasion dinner. Waitress was seemingly disinterested. Took 15 minutes for glass of wine to arrive at table and it wasn 't even what I had ordered. I had pointed to the item on the menu but received the wrong thing a Prosecco I could buy at Costco. When I said it wasn 't what I ordered, the waitress looked at me and said That 's the only rosé we have. When I pointed out that there is an actual rosé, not a Prosecco, on the wine list she seemed annoyed. When she brought me what I actually ordered she made a big show of telling us that they had removed the incorrect item from our bill, as if it should have been on there in the first place. My $1...
When I first arrived I was greeted by the nicest hostess EVER. She had the biggest most inviting smile. She told me We are all ready for you, let me show you to your table ! Then the waitress was phenomenal. She was attentive, nice, listened, positive attitude, and she was familiar with the menu and was always smiling! At this restaurant if they were paid by how many smiles they provided the customers the staff would be RICH! This was my first time going to this restaurant, I wanted to take my team member somewhere nice to say thank you for all thier hard work. We’ve frequented here for many years now and the last 3 times we’ve come here have been a disappointment. Last night our steaks didn’t arrive as ordered yet again. We didn’t send them back because it takes too long, learned from experience. Not sure if there is a new chef or what but for the costs of steaks here and to consistently have them be wrong, we’ll stick to drinks and apps moving forward. Did like the new bar stools in the bar area!
We celebrated my mom's 67th birthday at Sullivan's, her favorite restaurant. The salmon and NY strip were cooked perfectly. Our server David was fantastic, very attentive and knowledgeable. Manager Marissa was warm and accommodating. The hostess decorated our table beautifully. Dining at Sullivan's is truly a treat, especially for special occasions, as they make us feel so special. I can't wait to return already.
